"Brain the size of a walnut, is roughly the view that most people have about the intelligence of the dinosaurs. These large mammals are known to have been born with unusually small brain size of a walnut or a golf ball.
Because there is no way to travel back in time to measure intelligence of dinosaurs, scientists developed an encephalization quotient or EQ. This standard compares the size of the brain of a creature the size of other your body. In addition, a comparison of the species with same size. the most intelligent animals are more brain to the body indexes. Blooded animals hot have a higher EQ than cold thoroughbreds.
Humans have an enormous brain size compared to our bodies with an equalizer 5. The African elephant EQ is 0.63, 0.39 opossums. On the other hand, the monkeys have an EQ slightly higher compared with other animals. A Colobus for example, has EQ 1.5 and 2.5 for a cappuccino. With the exception of humans, dolphins are the only animals on earth with one as high as 3.6 EQ. However, dinosaurs distributed at the lower end of the spectrum with an equalizer, ranging from 0.11 to 0.1.
Studies revealed that the most intelligent of the dinosaurs were ornithomimids as above the dino graphic EQ with a score of 0.8. Troodontidae, had a brain of average size with an equalizer in 0.7. These types of dinosaurs share many features with modern birds. Iguanodon had an EQ of 0.5 and stood at 0.47 hadrosaurids EQ.
At the bottom of the EQ score is the Diplodocus, with just 0.05 EQ. These types of dinosaurs, strangely, seems to have lived longer.
